There is no missing the Na Hoku II at Kewalo Basin Harbor. The big yellow and red 43-foot sailing catamaran has been a fixture on the south shore, and every Friday night it heads out onto the water for a 1-hour fireworks cruise that packs a full experience into a single hour - great music, unlimited complimentary drinks, and a front-row view of the Hilton Waikiki Friday Night Fireworks from the open ocean.
Board from 7:00 PM at Pier F-23 - no check-in booth, no waiting in line, just walk down to the boat. The Na Hoku II fits up to 49 guests, with plenty of open deck space, lounging nets, and seating throughout. Drinks start flowing immediately: beer, cocktails, soda, juice, and water are all included in your ticket at no extra charge. Adults 21+ can enjoy the full bar; non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary for guests of all ages.
When the fireworks launch, you are already out on the water with the south shore coastline behind you - views of Ala Moana, the Waikiki skyline, and the Pacific stretching out ahead. The Na Hoku II runs every Friday, rain or shine.
This is one of the few Waikiki fireworks cruises that welcomes guests of all ages. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The boat operates as a bar and can have a lively party atmosphere, which is worth keeping in mind for families with very young children.
